Help Solve the Mystery of the Stroller and the Kona Killer Vine

Saw this by the side of the road this morning on our daily walk through the neighborhood. It wasn't there a couple of days ago, but note the vine devouring the stroller already.  No sign of parent or child, but I could swear I heard the vine give a loud burp.  Hmmmm.

Stuff gets abandoned here all the time -- cars, bicycles, refrigerators, dogs, cats.  And people go missing all the time -- tourists out snorkeling or watching lava ooze, hikers falling into old lava tubes, teenagers on a life-quest.  But this seems particularly odd.

Any theories?  Help solve the Kona Killer Vine Mystery!

My own, likely the result of going stir-crazy after months of Covid 19 and election bs, is this.  Parent pushing stroller gets cell call.  Parks the kid on the side of the road for safety, turns back to stroller while answering phone.  Bam! Vine attacks and sucks them both down!  What else could it be?!

I think Zork abducted them. Probably probing them now.

Good possibilities, for sure. Here's another of mine, stimulated by DT's recent public, on-the-record endorsement of QAnon. Mother and child were kidnapped by operatives for a world-wide pedophile and child porn syndicate whose members include Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Tom Hanks, Ellen DeGeneres, the Pope and the Dalai Lama. (see https://www.nytimes.com/article/what-is-qanon.html). The child will be sold into sexual slavery and the mother will be used for breeding.

Perhaps you can see why I decided to stick with the Killer Vine theory.......

Surely there are more suggestions?

Because of your comment, " And people go missing all the time -- tourists out snorkeling or watching lava ooze, hikers falling into old lava tubes, teenagers on a life-quest.", I'm thinking that spot is related somehow to the Bermuda Triangle where aircraft and ships mysteriously disappear. The Kona Triangle. By the way, your description of a vine devouring the stroller reminded me of the scariest book I ever read, "The Ruins". Read it and maybe you'll get some clues to your mystery. On the other hand, you probably figured it out with your cell phone theory.

Great! The Kona Triangle Vortex! Love it! Fits right in to the cosmicastrofluxistonquantumelectromagneticmultiverseportal viewpoint popular today. Now all we have to do is find three points for the triangle, an easy task since we can just make stuff up.

I realize that I did indeed read The Ruins years ago and it probably influenced my Killer Vine Theory. Certainly was a scary book and the ending as I recall was rather sobering.
